Dudley Singleton’s name has been synonymous with the country property market for 30 years and is acknowledged nationally and internationally as one of Berkshire and Oxfordshire’s foremost country agents with a difference.
No board of directors here, not owned by a large financial institution, Dudley and Katherine Singleton and their efficient team of professionals are very proud that in today’s continually changing world the honesty and integrity, associated over hundreds of years with family owned businesses, is still firmly in place and existing in Pangbourne, Berkshire.
Dudley is able to offer a broad expert knowledge in his field. It is not an unusual working week for Dudley to negotiate the sale of a country house for £1 million plus, acquire a house in Europe on behalf of a retained client, value a pretty period cottage, give a probate valuation, or personally conduct a collective auction sale of country property including houses, grazing land and building land.
Dudley Singleton and Daughter employ experienced pro active personnel who enjoy their work and therefore take pride in the service we offer. Dudley Singleton and Daughter have offices in London and Berkshire with an affiliated network of 500 offices throughout the UK
Dudley first saw, 30 years ago, the need for a specialised business dealing only in country property and he formed Dudley Singleton; The country house market, the backbone of Dudley's business, and the individual high standards of marketing, presentation and personal service have been maintained from the business conception to today and now will move firmly into the 21st century with another member of the family and therefore another hand at the helm. Dudley has always applauded throughout his career women in business and has never subscribed to any reason to bring back a suffragette movement or that women should have to throw themselves under horses' hooves and chain themselves to railings before men will accept that their difference in attitude and qualities that they can bring to bear on a business can be anything but beneficial and how better to proclaim those views publicly by having a partner in his daughter, Katherine. The Victorian idea that only a son can carry on the name has gone. Directors of successful companies are not usually known as an easy touch and certainly everyone in Dudley's company is expected to work their ground. Katherine, who is also a Member of the National Association of Estate Agents, first started in the business as a negotiator, and after some years became manager and a further eight years earned the right to becoming a partner.
